Matthew “M. N.” Godbey was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and primarily raised in southwestern Alabama. A graduate of the College of Charleston's journalism program, he served as a weekly contributing columnist to Charleston, South Carolina’s daily newspaper the Post and Courier for thirteen years before moving into the realms of editing and ghostwriting. He has worked professionally as an editor, writer, and journalist since 2005. He lives in Colorado with his wife and two dogs.
